Brisbane to Melbourne Roadtrip

If we had kept walking we would have come to the Sale Swing Bridge across the Latrobe River. We went back to the carpark but luckily found the turnoff to it a couple of km down the road. The Port of Sale was established in the late 1800s and was a busy link to the Gippsland Lakes system and the open water of Bass Strait. We lucked upon the operating time for the bridge!
